Since 2007 my business has been about importing and selling the absolutely amazing and totally unique JOYA Crystal Massage Rollers. And while I love and use JOYA daily, my interest and knowledge in the area of health and well-being grew far beyond the health benefits of (self-)massages.
I have adopted many healthy habits over the years - some out of necessity, some as prevention. I am starting my day with Self-Reiki and exercising (currently The Five Tibetan Rites, rowing on a machine, plus stretching), followed by Dry Body Brushing and a Cold Shower after the hot one. Thanks to my fur baby Bella I walk every morning for about 20 minutes.
The first thing I put into my stomach is filtered water with some Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice. I also take a variety of Daily Essential Supplements and targeted nutrition i consider beneficial for my body.
Mid morning I either have a handful of almonds, a green juice or just some fruit. Drinking enough water can sometimes be a challenge - especially in winter - but i found by placing my filled water bottle on my desk and having a small one for my handbag I manage well most days.
My toxin free - or at least highly toxin-reduced - living started with MODERE (called Neways at the time). My personal care products are now free of more than 3000 potentially harmful ingredients and so are my household care products.... This is reducing the toxic load on my body tremendously, eliminating one cause of disease. All my supplements come from Modere too - as they are high quality, which is important to me and to my body.
There are for sure lots of other healthy habits one can implement. However, I am happy with what I am doing and I adjust if I feel the need to do so. Luckily I know a few tricks to help me adopt new habits faster and easier.
As our emotional health plays a huge - if not the most important - role in our physical health and well-being I use different techniques to deal with events, people, situations that might upset, stress, annoy me. I try to act upon situations straight away before I go down the downward spiral - but sometimes I just want to be angry (I trust you can relate ;o) ).
On this website, in the NurtureNESS BLOG I am going to share with you things you can do, use or take to nurture your body, mind and soul - to become a healthier and happier ‘WellBEING’.
I am also trained as a RESULTS Coach and a Demartini Method Facilitator and as such love supporting people transforming, setting and achieving goals, dealing with change or creating change and creating and adopting new habits. It is very rewarding to be part of someone's journey to a happier and healthier person.
