Supplementing - Yes or No?
When I met my partner, he dad his kitchen bench decorated with countless supplement bottles and jars ... I remember thinking "OMG, is he sick???" Little did I know at the time about regular supplementing. I would drink some Elderberry Juice when I got a cold, take some Vitamin C and Zinc ... that was probably it.
Don't we get all the nutrients we need from food? I If you are eating a whole, fresh, unprocessed foods diet, shouldn’t you be able to get an abundant supply of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients? One would think so...
Unfortunately, this is not the case - even with a perfect diet!
The combination of many factors - including depleted soils, genetic alterations of traditional heirloom species, the storage and transportation of our food as well as the increased stress and nutritional demands resulting from a toxic environment - make it impossible for us to get the vitamins and minerals we need solely from the foods we eat.
Evidence shows we cannot get away from the need for nutritional supplements.
