Fighting Free Radicals - Do You Need Antioxidants?

28/3/2018

Comments

The body produces hundreds of substances called “free radicals” in response to pollution, toxins, alcohol, processed foods, stress, and during normal metabolic processes like breathing.

Once formed, these toxic compounds can start a chain reaction which can lead to cells function poorly or die. Resulting oxidative stress is associated with more than 200 diseases.

Why we do need to supplement Minerals - and the only Supplement you need

29/11/2017

Comments

Story at-a-glance Minerals are the basic building blocks of our bodies. NONE of the functions of the body can occur properly without ALL the minerals present in the diet.
As our soils are depleted our food contains much less nutrition than it used to. The consumption of processed foods, stress, toxins and lifestyle choices – means we are not receiving all of the nutritional requirements our body needs to operate at optimum efficiency and underpin our overall well-being. Good nutrition is a cornerstone of good health.
Although the body can manufacture a few vitamins, it cannot manufacture minerals or trace elements. When the body is unable to obtain the nutrients, minerals and trace elements it requires to ensure proper functioning in sufficient amounts, the long-term effects may affect general well-being or lead to conditions associated with inadequate nutrition, like chronic diseases.
Under these circumstances, holistic supplementation is the perfect answer to maximise the potential for optimum well-being. Supplementing with a Natural Colloidal Mineral Drink is the best way to achieve and maintain good health until old age.

Unless you are living a stress-free live and having a super healthy gut and therefore a strong immune system you can easily catch a cold or get the flue.

Both are infectious diseases of the respiratory tract (throat, nose, airways, lungs) that share many similar symptoms (e.g. mild fever, nasal congestion or discharge, cough, headache, fatigue), they are distinctly different conditions. Generally speaking, cold symptoms come on slowly and are confined to the nose and throat. Flu symptoms tend to come on faster affecting the nose, throat and chest and may be accompanied by severe body aches and pains, high fever and shivering.

A Poison Kiss - Troubling Levels of toxic Metals in Lipstick and Lip Glosses

23/5/2017

Comments

When it comes to toxins in skin care, cosmetics and personal care products it is hard to find products that are safe and nontoxic. On the other side, Millions of women put on cosmetics every day without ever considering whether dangerous chemicals lurk inside the tube…
I’ve written before about toxins in personal care products, from toothpaste to make up. Now, another study has found that heavy metals in lipsticks and lip glosses are of concern.
Researchers from University of California, Berkeley tested 33 lipsticks and lip glosses commonly found in drugstores and department stores and used by young women in a California youth program. They detected lead, cadmium, chromium, aluminium and five other metals, some of which were found at levels that could raise potential health concerns.
The highest lead levels where found in brands like Procter & Gamble (Cover Girl brand), L’Oréal (L’Oréal, Body Shop and Maybelline brands) and Revlon as well as Dior.

The following results for lead content in a selection of lipsticks were obtained by scientists at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and reported in the Journal of Cosmetic Science (see there for complete list)

Only One Disease and Only Two Causes – Give yourself the Gift of Health (Part 1 - Toxins)

21/3/2017

As Bestselling Author Raymond Francis writes in his book “Never Be Sick Again”: There is only One Disease: Malfunctioning cells. All cell malfunction can be reduced to Two Causes: Deficiency and Toxicity.

By addressing the Two Causes through the Six Pathways (Nutrition, Toxin, Psychological, Physical, Genetic, Medical) almost all disease can be prevented or reversed.
The potential for health and longevity is far greater than we realize – or are achieving. Modern medicine suppresses symptoms rather than addressing causes, so disease remains chronic. By learning how to optimize our direction on each of the Six Pathways, we can put ourselves in control of our health, happiness, and longevity.

Hi there! I am Ellen and I’m into all things well-being, self-care, healthy eating, clean living and emotional balance, personal growth.

Let’s be the best and healthiest person we can be!

I love nature and the sunshine, Pilates and Yoga, and of course my little fur baby and my wonderful partner.

My motto is “Health is a Habit and Happiness is a Choice”.

As a well-being advocate I empower health conscious people to make better choices regarding the only two causes of disease: toxicity and deficiency. For example, by reducing our daily toxic load with better food choices and the use of toxin-free personal care products on one side and enhancing nutrition intake on the other side. This and more will significantly improve our life.

As a Psychosomatic Therapist and a Trained John Demartini Method Facilitator I am passionate about empowering people in dissolving any internal or external emotional stress and conflict (toxic emotions) – which when left unresolved will not only hinder us in living our full potential, but also can easily manifest in physical disease.

I enjoy researching, sharing and educating throughout my wellness business and endeavour to provide you helpful information here so you can live a healthy life till old age, feel energetic and can enjoy doing the things you love.

Please leave comments on the blog or drop me a note. Subscribe to my newsletter so you don't miss a thing!
